Are you the 11 second S class Treynor?

Welcome aboard, and congrats on your First 911. Cobalt and Ceramics as well.

I am indeed that Treynor -- and now also "10 second SL" Treynor I'm really looking forward to the handling & AWD traction of the 997!

> but why wait? I couldn't wait on my first Porsche either and flew out to Utah and drove her home.

If it were just Utah, I'd already be on a plane! However, Boston --> San Francisco is a bit much for a weekend jaunt. Though the temptation is certainly still there...

Don't forget about the pair of Vipers.

Congrats by the way.

Real nice first P-car! Given your current stable of "RENNTech" modded AMG's, this latest addition will also be a stellar performer and great fit!

I live in Southern NH. I'd be happy to drive it to San Francisco for you.

treynor,

You beat me to it - literally. I found that car last night after the dealership closed, so I sent them an email. I've been looking for a Cobalt Blue-- ARGGH! Did you get any kind of discount or MSRP?

Andrew,
I literally sent them an email yesterday saying "I'll buy this car from you TODAY if you sell it at MSRP." After a brief phone discussion, they agreed as long as the deal closed by the end of the month (the joy of sales quotas ) and sent me over the deal paperwork last night. I wired them the funds this morning - no discount, but no premium either.

I feel bad to hear that I took the car when you were planning on buying it -- are you local to the area?

Oh don't feel bad - you jumped on it. I could have called this morning and didn't. Nope, not local. I'm in Northern Va. I've discovered another Cobalt Blue car but I don't know if it is available or not yet. It has an MSRP of $155k - more options than I really want, but we'll see.

I had a Cobalt Blue 996TT; it is a great color. Now that it is a no-cost option we'll be seeing more of them.

Have fun with her,
Andrew

Congratulations Ben, I've been following you for some time. You're pretty legendary over at m5board.com too. We'll soon have the same color turbo when I get mine this fall. I can't wait to hear about the things you'll do to your Turbo.

I guess I should put my name in the hat on offering to help drive the Turbo from Boston to SF.

My dad just got an SL600 and that thing is so sweet!

Welcome to the crazy house!
