Question tire pressure sensor

Anyone know if we can use the original tire pressure sensor and mount on the new wheels in order to keep the tire pressure monitor? or we have to get a new set of sensor for new tires?

You can use the ones from the stock wheels.....but, you have to break down the wheels to get the sensors...I bought new sensors, but, with aftermarket wheels, banding seems like a terrible solution...My sensors have fallen off my aftermarket wheels and are rolling inside the wheels...TPMS sucks!

TPMS doesn't suck Lou. It saves lives. You just have to install the sensor in the wheel correctly. Using a band to strap a sensor intended to be put through the hole is an ***-backwards way to do it on a several thousand dollar wheelset. If you have a valve based sensor, buy a wheel that will allow it to fit into the hole correctly or take your business elsewhere. I warned you Lou, and look what you got as a result.

Good luck with HRE - there isn't a solution. The barrel section of the wheel has the wrong angle so it will never work. And you now see just how "well" the bands work.

If your stock sensors wouldn't have fit in your new wheels, I certainly hope HRE told you before you dropped all that cash.

997hk - just ask the seller of the wheels before you buy them, they should (hopefully) know.

When I changed from stock C4S wheels to Carrera Sport Wheels the sensors were changed over without any problems.
