and the weight of the 997TT is? My Se dynoed 437rwhp, bone stock, and brand new.I dont remember the torque, although I know for certain it wasnt anywhere near as high as the 997TT's. Turbos always register more torque. It hasnt even been broken in yet, with a few thousand miles under its belt, no doubt it would dyno better. That is substantially more than early Gallardos. The only early Gallardo dyno I have to go by is Waynes, who dynoed 366awd hp, and then changed his exhaust, no cats, and air filters and put down 414 Rear wheel hp. So, the SE is putting down substantially more power than the factorys claimed increase of only 20hp.

I believe the 997TTs weigh in between 3440 and 3600 depending on transmission and brake choice.

437 AWHP is very healthy! It appears that Lambo has "brought game" to the party -- and it should be a very good performance match to the new Turbo.

Comparing dyno #'s is a lesson in futility. Unless you're on the same dyno on the same day...there are simply WAY too many variables to even bother doing it.

Yes, but you can get an idea.

What is with some Gallardo dyno pulls being done awhp and some rwhp?

Allan- How cumbersome is it to transfer the G into a RWD mode to do this testing? Is it done simply to put down slightly higher numbers at the wheels?
If not, why not just always get dynoed in awhp so it is a bit easier to compare?(after mods etc)
Sorry for the newbie type questions, but this has been driving me crazy for a few weeks.

The simple reason for me to dyno on a rear wheel dyno is because the shop that my SE is at has a rear drive dyno, not a 4 wheel dyno, and since we are doing dyno pulls with each and every mod we perform, it would be a huge pain in the *** to take the car looking for a awd dyno. The G is very simple to convert to 2wheel drive, just unbolt the driveshaft.

Ben,

I think he mentioned it was RWHP. If it was AWHP...good god ! That would be a monstrous leap in hp from the preevious Gallardo's.

Yes, its 437 in rear wheel hp, not awhp. Inmo, it is still a fantastic leap forward, as it is approx 40 more rear wheel hp than before, and yet again, with a few miles on the clock, id guess the car would register closer to 450rwhp.

It would be very simple for you to compare the SE with the 997TT. Bring it down to the track and line it up with Evo's stock TT.
