First FVD 997 Turbo Muffler Arrives in the US!
I took a careful look at Evan's stuff from fvd and their website. Overall it looks good, it looks very similar to their 996TT setup. Just a couple of questions since I'll be buying a system soon myself
Is this a newly designed system or a 996 modified system, if that matters at all?
Some of the hardware, ie clamps and the like, look identical to the ones on my NA 996, I'm sure that can't be right as the tube id/od's are different, just wondering.
What kind of HP/TQ are we looking at, and are there any ill effects on the VTG's re exhaust temps?
Finally, what's the cost(6 speeder price) gonna be?

i also wanted to ask another silly question...as i dont want the car to be very loud, but at the same time throaty (a little loud is ok
) ...is it advisable to keep the same cats with your muffler or should i just change the cats on the original bumper say 100cells or a catalyic bypass. What are the power gains that were offered in the 996 with the muffler and 200 cell cats. is that the best combo?
Also will your exhausts be compatible with only your ECU mods or with also others like EVO, RS Tuning etc.
I cant wait to see the tips you are offering and hear the sounds. thanks a lot.
