First FVD 997 Turbo Muffler Arrives in the US!

Hi Guys,
As promised here are a few photos of the new FVD 997TT muffler! This is the first unit to arrive here in the US and it is the Export version! It is available in TUV (Quieter), Export (Louder), and Race (LOUD!) just like the 996TT systems! All systems are available with 200 cell, 100 cell or catalytic bypass! The TUV version will be recieving its certification within the week for the Europeans on the forum!

I am waiting for further information about the muffler (power gains, etc.) and will post as soon as I know, but figured everyone would at least like to see a photo showing the muffler does exist and is available! (Not to mention gains should be VERY similar to the 996TT as not a whole lot changed (exhaust wise).

This Export System (With 100 Cell) retails for $4295 and can be ordered NOW for quick delievery!
We will offer compensation to the first few persons who purchase this system if they provide a video!
Best Regards,
Evan

Is it cheaper with the cat bypass? Doesn't the cat bypass produce a CEL?

Good news. Am I the only one that thinks the stock exhaust tips look lame?

Alex: Correct, very similar to the 996TT... You know the saying "Don't mess with perfection!" Its not perfect, but the design has proved itself (ZERO quality issues WORLDWIDE) and just about every customer is extremely happy with the sound!

Monsour: Back from the dead? How you been? Anyway, this unit was presold to a guy in California! It will be shipped to a shop out there for install along with Headers and ECU programing! His upgraded ECU should be in the car early next week!

Sticky: Yes the catbypass version will be cheaper! Though pricing has not been released on it yet, I would assume it will be very similar to the price of the 996TT unit which is $3395 (Export Muff w/Cat Bypass). They will produce a CEL UNLESS you also purchase FVD ECU programing! Then you will NOT get a CEL!!

MCJ: Nope, not a 6speeder, though Lou can purchase one

Martin: From what I am told this unit will sound almost exactly like the 996TT (which it should since the engine and layout is almost identical)! So that is for sure a good thing!

PorscheC4: Thanks!

NAPO: Thanks, I will post as soon as I have them!

mhh: I agree, not a fan of the tips, so we will have some new ones coming out in the future! For now this exhaust will take the stock tips or any other tips that fit on the stock exhaust.

Thanks guys,
Evan

Shaikh: I am very sorry for missing your question (thanks for the email reminding me!). Since I did, i will go above and beyond just writing back and I will show you .
"Cell" referes to how many "opening" there are per square inch within the catalytic converter. When I say 200 cell, it means there are 200 cells per square inch within the catalytic. 100 cell catalytics have 100 cells per square inch within the catalytic. Catbypasses have no catalytic converter at all, it is just a straight through pipe.

400 Cell Catalytic (Std. On Porsches): Flow the least (very restirctive). Keep the car extremely quiet. Are best for emissions (the purpose of catalytic converters is to control emissions from automobiles).
Photo:

200 Cell Sport Catalytic: Flow better than stock (Better Performance). Still keep the car fairly quiet. Are the best of the options we offer for emiissions and will still pass emmissions testing in all states (Provided you keep everything else stock on the car).
Photo:

100 Cell Sport Catalytic: Flow the best of the Catalytics (Good Performance). Make the car a bit louder. Still control emissions, however, will not pass emissions in all states.
Photo:

Catalytic Bypass: Flow better than any catalytic (Best Performance). Make the car a bit louder than 100 cell. Do not control emissions and chances are you will not pass emissions in any state.
Photo:

Here is a comparison photo of our options:

Evan

That will be up to the consumers to decide. I have plenty of references for our exhaust systems if you would like you can give me a call and I can point you in the right direction.

Evan
