How many of you 997 TT waiters have driven a new zo6?

Thats a track, and its NOT faster. Porsche instill more confidence to the driver and are MUCH more stable at speeds above 100 mph. i have heard from plenty of people who own or have driven and say the vette un quite unstable at high speeds where the Porsche is planted esceptionally well.

Stick only? How would a "sports car" driver survive in a stick shift only car?
Completely defeatable traction control? You mean, it is actually off, not like PSM when it just lies and tells you that it's off?
Wow, you mean, Chevy made a track ready car with dry sump ALMS engine car for less than the price of a wet sump pretender punched out Boxster POS regular 997's?
The cross shopping happens more with the GT2/3 owners than Turbo owners for the above two reasons.
The Z06 is much closer to the GT2/3 philosophy, and whilst the roof might fly off, at least it comes without a retarded sunroof, unlike the 997 American bling bling GT3 with mandatory hole on the roof of a pretender "track car."
In short, if I could not have afforded the GT2, I would not have thought twice about getting the Z06. There is nothing else in the P car world that comes close in the 997 iteration.
And yes, this coming from a guy who owned a 996 Turbo stick shift for 3 years. The driving experience in the end, was just too uninvolving with PSM and AWD.

The AWD and the PSM have made the Turbo a no skills required fast car that is just not that fun to drive any more.
In cars like the Z06 or the GT2/3, if you are fast on the track, you know it's all you.
In cars like the Turbo, well, was it me or was it the PSM? Or was it the AWD? Or was it, oh, forget it.

One Porsche (Cayenne turbo), 2 NSX and one Ferrari have all been bought, loved, and sold in the same 10 months or so, that I have had the ZO6 (my cars ...syncinccars.com) .. I dont drink, smoke, travel, golf, fish, etc...just cars...very expensive, but rewarding addiction!
The Z06 is quite amazing..raw HP, not too many creature comforts, terrible seat bottoms... but man is that bow tie fast..a joy to drive. However, I have patiently been waiting for my 997TT...I have a white tip coming in soon. I miss the pure romance of the Porsche. The Ferrari was on my list to have, I did, just was not me. I felt like a poser in it..was not me at all. Fun car, but not near as fun as the Z06.
The Z06 will stay side by side the 997TT...after a few months I will decide what to do next. Please, don't be fooled by the good ol' boy cliche's. The Z06 is an amazing car, at ANY price, against ANY car in the world...hands down. It just FEELS faster than anything I have ever even sat in..including being a passenger of Hurley Haywood in a PCA Porsche GT.... he scared the sh*t out of me, but the car still did not feel as fast as this Z06...
Take it from me, get one
I love them all...
