I wouldn't say outright I am choosing a new z06 over a TT but I have to tell you guys to go out for a drive in this beats if you can ASAP!

A buddy of mine picked one up the other day and I had about 30 minutes of wheel-time. Plastic yes, but OMG the power and the sound! Completely intoxicating and has me scratching my head

I didn't get a chance to drive one but I did get a chance to sit in one. Didn't even start it up for me either. I have to say that if I was looking to buy one based on interior asthetics alone, it'd be at the bottom of my list. The interior was cheap and unimpressive. I really do think that Chevrolet should have spent a few extra pennies sprucing up the interior.

Interior sucks from manys perspective, but thats not the target audience for the Z06 hence not much $$$ spent on nicer plastics, leathers etc.

Corvette owners seem to be quite loyal...so its no downgrade in interior for that client.

Still, plenty of buyers can look the other way quality wise due to sheer performance to dollar ratio being impossible to beat for a new, unmodded car.

I have c6 Z06 and in 45 days or so 997tt!

I have had the good fortune to have most every sports car you would ever want... NSX is my favorite, 7 of them over the years, 4 996 turbo's (2 "regular" 1 X50, 1 GT2), Ferrari 360 F1, and yes, last but not least, several C5 corvette's, and my latest, a 2006 Z06. One Porsche (Cayenne turbo), 2 NSX and one Ferrari have all been bought, loved, and sold in the same 10 months or so, that I have had the ZO6 (my cars ...syncinccars.com) .. I dont drink, smoke, travel, golf, fish, etc...just cars...very expensive, but rewarding addiction!

The Z06 is quite amazing..raw HP, not too many creature comforts, terrible seat bottoms... but man is that bow tie fast..a joy to drive. However, I have patiently been waiting for my 997TT...I have a white tip coming in soon. I miss the pure romance of the Porsche. The Ferrari was on my list to have, I did, just was not me. I felt like a poser in it..was not me at all. Fun car, but not near as fun as the Z06.

The Z06 will stay side by side the 997TT...after a few months I will decide what to do next. Please, don't be fooled by the good ol' boy cliche's. The Z06 is an amazing car, at ANY price, against ANY car in the world...hands down. It just FEELS faster than anything I have ever even sat in..including being a passenger of Hurley Haywood in a PCA Porsche GT.... he scared the sh*t out of me, but the car still did not feel as fast as this Z06...

Take it from me, get one

I love them all...

just my .02

Its easy to love it when you have a number of other nice cars to turn to. But if you could only have one...what would it be?

good question

well, it will seem rude, as I am on 6speed and all, but to be honest, as of today, with a pack of Porsche's under my belt, but BEFORE I have the new turbo, I am going to say...if I could only drive 1....it would be... the Corvette. Sorry to say (not sorry actually..they are all great cars)... just my favorite at this time to drive...many reasons, but I have kept it each time I have sold another, so it must work for me on many levels. I typically have 2 sports cars, and so one has to go for one to make it in..the corvette has made it through many "tribal councils" ....so all that being said, with a huge asterisk, I say Z06.

Sorry vette lovers, but I wouldn't be seen in one even if it had a jet engine attached to it.

I love everything the car stands for and what it's capable of. But in the end, I wouldn't own one. It's just not my type of car. Maybe I'd but it as a third or fourth backup after the P car, F car and L car

I have to say, that recently I drove the Z06, the Viper SRT10, and the Ford Gt. Out of all those, the Z06 impressed me most. The Viper sucked, the Ford was way too overpriced. And the Vette felt sort of like an front engined NSX.

The Vette felt clearly faster than the Srt10, and felt as fast as the Ford. In the Fords price range there are way too many other choices, that are clearly better for me, Ie 997TT or Gallardo, but for the Z06's 70K there is nothing comparable. Great car inmo for the money.
