How well do you think 997 tt will hold their value?
dep assets
agreed, people won't be buying luxury goods at the same rate as in the last 5yrs. several folks i know are postponing their new p-car, yacht upgrades and exotic vacations. 2 co-workers; 1 who couldn't stop talking about remodeling the kitchen and the other who planned to knock down and rebuild his 2car garage etc etc have also shut the F up in recent weeks.
btw, german New car sales are down significantly this year (compared to 2007) and dealers have less liquid cash lying around these days. so, know that each time you decide to sell your car to them, you will get approx 10% less than you would have gotten a yr ago.....
shyt has hit the fan....give it a few more months and we shall all see what distressed households will sell some of their high prized assets for...

i think that the answer to this question is no one really knows. despite all the experts on tv, no one knows what is going to happen in a month-the economy may be better, worse, the same? look, all this is supply and demand. i agree with previous comments that these are toys-buy it only if you like it-this is nothing close to an investment. i can say this much though-you wouldn't now be happy if you paid 250k for a gt2 and are presently buying a corvette zr1 for 150k-it really never makes sense to pay over list.

Agreed until you talk to an honest indy...the repair liability you incur for a 993TT is much larger...more heat....more damage...top end rebuilds are much more common than most think...at 15k each at least, that is not something to sneeze at. That being said, once people realize that issue, I think the water cooled cars will actually come into their own. I sure hope so....as I have one. :-) In the meantime, one does not buy a high end car to look at it in my book...drive it and enjoy it. If you need to think about the money, get a used 996TT and keep 50-70k in the bank. Put 10k into mods, and have 650hp......

Porsche sales are dead in the water!!!!! You will lose your butt!!! I have 997TT $99000 or best offer, 2008 GT2 $199,000 or best offer. One has to be gone ASAP. Good luck. Do not buy a P-car and expect not to lose your ***.
