man...that wheel is sweet. I want a techart wheel for my 996, but I've heard horror stories about waiting up to 6 months.

What kind of BBS wheels? Post photos when on car. I am thinking of ordering RSGT's as soon as my tt comes in. I know the Aluminum/leather steering wheel is not recommended in south Florida because of the heat the alum retains. What about the carbon fiber at the top of the wheel.....any retention of heat there???

It took Techart around 2 months to get this steering wheel to me from Germany. I'd heard horror stories too but when I visited Techart last July I was assured by one of their reps that they had caught up with their backlogged orders so I felt confident about placing an order with them through a local Techart reseller working with CEC. The local reseller was Benchmark Motoring.

I got the BBS Racing Wheels in size 19" with black aluminum centers. The mag centers are only for racing not street use. And yes, I got those wheels from carnewal.com. Gert is a stand up guy!

I couldn't tell you what the heat retention rate would be because I haven't installed it yet! Keep in mind that the aluminum trim is not even real but rather paint made to look like aluminum so I doubt that it would retain much heat.

I can imagine how your 997 will look like, I like what you are going to do.
Good luck with the modifications.

Are you going to go for an Ecu upgrade, Headers, Mufflers and Airintake in the future ?

Now I'm not sure if the BBS Racing Wheels will look good on my car. Can you guys help me decide which wheels I should get? I'm looking at the RUF 19" wheels now.
