Take a look at the video of the Kellener M5 vs. the 997 TT, they were practically dead even. Now go watch the video of the Kellener M5 vs the Z06 while the Z06 started out in the wrong gear. Now, tell me which car is quicker.
If there is anyone with a stock 997 TT in MI, we can race and capture it on video. I will be waiting for a PM or a response.
And the Gallardo is one of the sexiest cars on the road, I agree.

To be honest, I'm surprised anyone would question the video. I thought it was common knowledge that Gallardos aren't all that fast (no disrespect intended to Gallardo owners).

I am a car enthusiast and I know a lot about cars and how fast they are, and I know that the 997 TT is NOT as fast/quick as the Z06, period.

One more thing. they tested a while back the 997TT and the z06 on the same day, same track, same conditions, same driver, and guess what, both ran 11.7@121. no 125+ trap speed there. and yet again, the turbo was not broken in.

As PorscheC4 stated, the 997TT was faster to 300kph. Please stop your useless debating. There is more to a car than e/t and trap speed

Ya, all these three tests must be flukes.
You know, to be passionate about your car is one thing, but to be blinded by passion is another thing. Whoever thinks that a 997 TT can out accelerate a C6 Z06, stock vs. stock, is just blinded by their passion for Porsche and is kidding themselves, period.

Also, I am not gonna be racing to 186 mph anytime soon. I live in the US, not Germany. And, lets say I did race to 186 mph and the TT was ahead (Which it wouldn't be), then I might as well race to top speed where I will surpass the Porsche when it tops out at 193 mph while I keep on going to near 200. So, in the end, no matter how you look at it, the Z06 is the faster car..

This is getting ridiculous already, its useless to still argue about this, Z06 is quicker than the 997TT, by alot? NO, and that's a major accomplishment for a awd heavier car with less power, but hey, both are IMPRESSIVE!

BTW, I believe I read somewhere on these forums that the 997TT is not drag limited but rather governed at its max speed. Can anyone confirm this?
