the fact that chevy used a cheap adhesive to glue the roof on and they are falling off is proof enough of its quality to me. thats a fact you cannot dispute.

I was thinking the same thing but wasn't going to say it. I love the way the viper looks and I think many people do, but interior kills it for me. Shifter feel, cramped space (im 6'2). That said, someday a Heffner TT viper will be in my garage, but it will not be any sort of a daily driver, it will be my most powerful dyno queen though The SRT gens are better overall but still lack. In '08 we will have a chance tgo rethink the name though

Yeah chevy ****ed up with a few things. You have to keep in mind 1st year anything typically has a lot of problems. Early vipers were POS's all around until they worked out the kinks compared to the SRT. Not all cars go through the same number of troubles. None the less, the C6 is a great example of progression in quality. The SRT has advanced as well, and I think the next gen viper we will be even more pleased. Keep in mind both of these cars are competing in the sub-$90k category

Im 6'2 also, wasnt too bad interior wise but everything felt like a big POS, driving it was even worse, i hated it!

Z06 interior is worlds above that, just because they had some issues with the roof flying off (LOL) doesnt mean its a bad car, i mean every new car has its fair share of problems!

That's the rumor. There are a lot of big speculations coming from the D-C side of the fence. Word is that Mclaren in conjunction with Daimler is working on the next Viper but I have not seen any confirmation of this. Either way I think it's going to do big things, we just have little facts to get excited about yet.

i understand that cars on their 1st prod. year will have problems, but when a something looks like a duck and quaks like a duck, you have to call it a duck. chevy didnt just mess up they cheaped out on the people who were going to buy this and did buy this car.
i can go but a Cayman S for $75 and i can guarantee the roof is not put on with some glue that could prob be bought at home depot. that is just being cheap and in a car that i think costs more than it should in the first place, cheap components should not be used.

Martin, everyone i know who has been in a z06 has told me its the biggest POS theyre ever seen. the viper interior is plain as hell, but you know they arent trying to make it luxurious, the seats are ok though.

I agree. I felt cramped in the GenII but the SRT was better. I never did like the shifter feel nor the doors/windows, etc.

Something about 1000RWHP+ TT V10 blurs my senses enough oversee all of these dislikes though

the other thing about the z06 is, doesnt is share the same suspension with a chevy malibu? and the same steering wheel as well. i mean come on, for $75 shouldnt you be getting more than you get in a $15K car?

Blah, obviously the interior isnt from a Porsche/Lambo/BMW and so on, but i overall loved what the car had to offer in every way, of course with the upped interior from the C5, i mean come on, it looks like Rolls Royce compared to the C5 interior

Yea, i think its because it simulates the feel of death, you hit the throttle and instantly "see the light"

A lot of people spew that on the internet too. I hear Z06 interior is a POS here and there but when I actually sat in one I though "wow, this isn't bad at all". once again its plain, lots of plastic, but it wraps around you and feels good. only complaint was seat support for track use, on the street theyre fine. 996 GT3 interior is bland as hell also, but do I care? hell no I love the 996 GT3 even for street/daily use
