Quote: Wow, that's a huge difference. Would you think it will lower the market value of 04/05 cars since they're less desireable now....?
As of late, early Gallardo values havent changed, and according to some wholesalers, theyve gone slightly up.

Quote: I dont care what you ran in the 1/4, ive driven an Sl65 and from a roll on, it will not beat my G.
Don't be silly - we both know that trap speed is an accurate indication of power to weight. 126 MPH vs 116-119 MPH?? The SL will trounce the G from a roll as well as a stop.

This whole conversation is silly - I am quoting facts, and you are posting your *opinion*. Words are cheap. Put some facts up like I do (a video with a stock G running 123 mph in the 1/4 would be a good start) if you want to influence people's opinion.

Yea i think both those numbers were slow for both turbo and the g, mroe so for the turbo. they are both faster than that.
I wasnt getting mad at you for posting them just stating they are bad indicators of how fast it is.
Dr sharp i agree!

to see why is faster(g or sl65) its pointless to say this and that on here but rather have two people take the initiative and take it to the streets where we can prove it, otherwise its just oppinions and facts and trivial things that dont get anyone a conclusive outcome!

Actually it is much easier to run the 1/4 mile in an automatic on drag radials, then in a 4 wheel drive 6 speed. So I dont choose to burn my clutch. As you know many conditions affect a cars numbers at a track, ive seen people run 11's all day long at Bradenton in Florida, and then run 12.40's at Moroso in Florida.

So regardless of your 1/4 mile speed, from a roll, you will not beat a stock Z06. On the gayass Benz boards there is thread about an Sl65 getting hammered by a stock Z06 by 2+ cars from a roll. We saw what my G did from a roll against a Z06. The Sl65 is going nowhere. And I WILL prove it.

Pretty good even considering your G is modded. Is the ZO6 stock?

My 11.7 @ 126 was on stock tires. I run 11.2 on drag radials

I'd welcome a demonstration - arguing about what might happen is amusing but ultimately pointless.

SL65 vs 06' Gallardo
I'd like to see Treynor's 65 (stock tires) run against allanlambo's modded G at the drag strip; say Sacramento Raceway.

My money is on the Benz.

Are you guys game?

Quote: Good runs. Next time try to have a passenger in each car and get some daytime footage. Also, don't be taking off before the third honk (Don't worry, I do the same when I am racing a fast car.. )
I absolutely agree. The Gallardo driver did not properly wait for the third honk and got a sizeable early jump. If both cars started in the optimum gear, the Z06 will pull away from an 06' Gallardo right from the get go.

Quote: I respect EVO, but those numbers are terrible. The only useful information you can pull from this is the relative quickness between stock and modified... not even close the the cars fullest potential.
I will say it again... there is nothing negative about this comment. Rep is abused on these forums.

Please watch this video.. this is a MUCH more controled situation then the video allanlambo posted. It's obvious the 997TT spanks the Gallardo in THIS test. I'm not sure what year this Lambo is however.... but I think this is a more acurate depiction of what to expect if these two supercars raced....

Let me know what you guys think...

Kevin, I think it's time you lend Allanlambo your driftbox. Let's get some street numbers on his G. What do you say?
