Just got back from Speedworld and the SECC drag day. I took our tuned 997TT to see what it would run. It was a hot day in AZ today ~ 90 degrees which didnt seem to slow it down too much. The first run it ran an 11.4 @ 124. The video is of the second run where it went 11.3 @ 124.9. racing against "Renntech V12" and his GT2 GT700. I got a better reaction time and launched harder than Joe, but he was able to reel me in at the end trapping at 131 MPH. The 997TT is deceptively fast and has been a blast to drive with the new found HP. I will post some more pictures and data in the AM.

WOW 11.3- does the 997tt have PSM? if so can it be turned off completely?

Thanks guys. The 60' times were 1.656 for the 11.04 run and 1.688 for the 11.3 run. This car launches very hard. Maybe I was a bit too critical on the VTG turbos as they hit pretty hard down low.

That was very enjoying to watch, Todd great job at launching that car, for a couple of seconds there the 997TT had like 2 car lengths on the GT2 !!!!!
Then the ferocious power of the GT2 did its best.
11.3 is a great number for a chipped 997TT. Again congrats on a job very well done Todd.

Dayum - that is very impressive, guys! It's terrific to see how much HP can be unlocked from the stock 997 hardware. Congrats!!

 

That's what I thought... 1.6s will do it... i did 1..7s and 124 mph in my 996 tt and did 11.5 1/4...
