I wonder if it's because we are being more patient this go around, then when the 996TT came out.

I recall that when the 996 came out most owners immediately started getting body kits. This go around I havn't seen any car outside of the tuners cars modded. Either the parts aren't available to the public, people simply are not jumping the gun this go around, or actually like the stock look.

I personally am being extremely patient this go around. I will wait till I find something I really like. Right now I've seen some nice stuff from Sportec, TechArt, Gemballa, 9ff, etc.. but no kit I've seen thus far makes me jump and say " I Gotta have this now!!!!! "

Still in shock I've done no body work to my TT

If the Techart Type II for the car looks good, I will sell my Murcie and get a TT.

I think everybody is holding out for the GTS kit. It should be a vast improvement over the already goodlooking TA bolt ons that are available.

Wait I thought Robert sold his Murci a long time ago? But yes I think once all these pieces are available and the said GTS kit from Techart comes out eevveerrrryyooonnneee will want it. The stock TT front end is so boring, I wish a company would just make the GT3 front available and that would be the one I'd buy.

Yes, a GT3 conversion 'made easy' would be a popular mod.

I like the look of the GT3 bumper, but personally I would never do that to my car.

If I wanted the GT3 look, I would have gotten at GT3. It's like people who put the GT2 kit on the 996TT, or like people who put AMG or M5 kits on non AMG/M cars. I hate when people would ask is that a GT2, when it's not. I can only imagine people saying is that a GT3. (of course these would be people who don't know their cars)

So for me, I would want a kit that is different from a GT3/RS/or GT2. Hence why I am anxiously waiting for the TechArt GTS.

my $.02

Murcie never sold, I was not that aggresive with the sale. I think I want to come back to Porsche now though.

I've talked to CEC and most likely it won't come out till March of next year at the earliest (at least in our hands). Makes sense to me as they would want to sell the first kits, then announce the GTS kit.

the big question is can I wait that long ;-)
