Best year GTC V8

my neighbor has a 2015 GTC and has been basically problem free since new has 40 K on the dial and hardly any issues to
what should I look out for thanks in advance, fellas

Usually the last of the run are the best cars - so for the gen2 that would be a 2018. I forget now, didn't the gen2 V8s have that turbo oil cooler line issue? I would look for a car where that has been remediated already.
Looking at a 2015 GTC 24K miles
2 owners all service records.
v8 base mulliner
around 80K price……
is it quite easy to source VW or Audi parts for this? Good price? Is there a third-party aftermarket warranty that anyone recommends?
seems electronics with the infotainment system could be an issue down the road ? suspension and obviously retractable roof. Anything else to be weary of thank you so much and thanks and advance.

I don't know how much the fix is if gets to that point - the key is to find a car where its been remediated already, or if not, build your own remediation cost for it into the offered price.

Audi did the recall for free…. Not Bentley

Possible Bentley will create a recall for it? Doesn't make sense why Bentley would decline since they use same engine for many years
Not without a class action lawsuit. And its not just Bentley, manufacturers don't do expensive recalls anymore - unless its safety related because then they have to answer to NHTSA. Lexus has/had an issue where the air conditioner drain hose gets clogged and when the water backs up and floods the passenger firewall/footwell area, its a $10-$15K repair. They were telling owners to file their own insurance claims for it, the case incidents are posted all over the internet. Someone recently won a lawsuit against them about it - and its still not a recall, just a TSB, so unless the customer knows about the problem from reading online, or a conscientious tech spots the issue during dealer service and remediates it, it doesn't get fixed.
Has a Bentley ever had the engine issue due to the oil strainer? I've only heard of the Audi cars having the issue
It's the same engine, so the problem is there for sure. There are so few Bentleys on the road that the defect rate from this doesn't register, that also helps them deny the repairs under warranty.
What year was the factory fix for this?
