New tunes

I had satellite radio installed over the holidays and it is terrific. Brandywine Porsche did the instal and charged $1300 for everything. They did a great job and were finished in about 3 hours. The reception is identical to the satellite radio in my S4.

Also, I was able to convince my son to record an MP3 CD to play in the car's CD player and it worked great. The CD has 103 songs on it and quality is as good as a regualr CD. Now all I need is for him to show me how to do it on my own since I am technically challenged.

Both the radio and the MP3 Cd show up on the NAV screen and I can scroll through songs or stations and select them with the thumb wheel on the steering wheel - very cool.

I think it is set up similar to the pics Steven took of his instal. I will check to see if they needed to drill the hole. They indicated the antenna was up front.

I thought the the best part about this was the ability to scroll through the menu with the steering wheel control. Also, I did not order the remote CD changer with this car since I rarely used it in my last one. The ability to play MP3 CDs is terrific. One CD can hold about 8 hours of music so I can have one CD in the machine and 2 in the holder in the glove box for a total of 24 hrs of music w/o the satellite radio.
