Would an R8 pose a threat to the new turbo??

It's a difference. Although i don't doubt that a 997tt could do more than 310 km/h.

I agree...............
But when the tuners get there hands on the car I am sure it will be a match to the 997TT.... Especially when the V10 engine arrives.. IMHO

The cost of insurance when the V10 comes out will be nuts. Any car with an aluminum chassis (S8, NSX, etc) costs a ton to repair and often needs to get totalled. Imagine a 500hp pseudo-exotic with ASF.... I wouldn't want that premium, even with only a 5K mi/yr limitation.
With Porsche getting more and more control of Audi, there is HUGE internal debate about the R8. Porsche pretty much doesn't know why Audi made it, it is Porsche territory.
Porsche also wants to put Bugatti to rest.
Porsche may stop the V-10 R8 from coming out.....

Both cars are great, but not really comparable...as far as the guy who quoted "Audi is Audi and Porsche is Porsche" like you can't compare the 2 marques...well the ALMS series says a lot
The Audi R10 FTW!
