998/999 whatever. No matter what you buy there will always be a change and you can just buy each time the car changes design or whatever. There is one given and that is the car will depreciate but what the hell its just a car. This is just my opinion and its only valid in the state of Hawaii.

saintv90 is infamous around these parts
If the 998 were to be released in say...3 years. The Turbo would still be about 1.5\2 years behind it. So you've got about 5 years to wait for a new body style TT...and that may be a hopeful guestimate. I'd say just go for it. And my recommendation is Cobalt Blue.

I dont think much will change with the turbo for 08 model (body style). Expect minor changes for 09 model (rear lights led and slightly different). Mechacanically, I figure direct injection, and possibly a bump in HP for 09 model. Expect the cab to be introduced during 08 production, and an optional engine upgrade (X50) for the turbo. I also expect PDK to come along sometime during 08 production but no one really knows for sure. This is just all speculation on my part from what I've read on the message boards. The bottom line is if you want the car and don't have a strong desire to own a cab, the X51 package, or PDK (an automatic stick shift using paddles on the steering wheel similiar to the F1 or SMG) then now is as good a time as ever.

I'd go for it now, the changes will be minimal, the most significant change will be the traditional 1-3% price hike. The PDK will be yet another poor substitute for a 6 speed. The tip will be a 600lb gorilla when it comes out. But what a marketing masterwerk that was, to market it as faster than a 6 spd 0-60, I expect no less hype with the pdk. The tip s was only ever a bridge to the pdk anyway, I wouldn't have either, but to each her own.
