Probably the most popular is an exhaust swap + flash. Tons of power right there, especially with a full exhaust swap and not just cats back.

ECU, Exhaust, Headers and intercooler We tried it on mine before we started selling to the public. The car comes up faster than snot and the lag that was not suppose to be there is finally not there. The car sounds great and is finally what it should have been.

Use the search bar. You will have enough posts to read until you retire or die of old age.

I think you and your shop have pretty much done it all, you have the engineers at Porsche Gmbh, scratching their heads and sayin "WTF why didnt we think of that"

Probably something like the 996TT l

Early 996TT came with K16 , then the X50 with the K24 and the TTS versions.

Talked to the head mechanic and my Porsche dealership today and brought up the topic of aftermarket mods and warranty issues? Basically he told me the exhaust/headers should be no problem with Porsche. However, flashing the GIAC would show up and possibly cause issues with the engine's warranty. For what its worth he rarely sees any issues with these engines (refering to turbo and GT3). Quick question, (i'm clueless about this stuff) When you take your cars in guys for service do you re-flash the chip back to stock configuration and is this detectable??? Just curious??

Some flashes will show up, some will not. If you are using a program that rewrites all the orginal hex address and doesn't throw something out of the parameters of the ECU (like raised rev limter) then they can not see it. I have a PIWIS and have tried it. If you raise the rev limiter then it shows a electronic overrev which can only happen with programing.

Just too many changes. Taking the simpliest one first. If you just put on the muffler so as to be sure one is still within warranty requirements, what is gained here?? Some say the little factory lag is gone. Is that true?? Also what is claimed HP gain?? Thanks

This is a write up I did after some testing. Let me know if you have any questions beyond that. I suspect that this might answer them all.
