Looks like there is quite a reduction in tubing size from the cat into the muffler, is that an illusion?? I hope so since something like that can't be good for free flow as it would cause increased turbulent flow.
I'm no expert on exhausts, but in the pic the heat shields appear to be on the bottom and the air sensor fitting appears to be flipped as well. Almost looks like a 996TT exhaust upside down?
I'm sure it's just the image reversed, otherwise looks ok.
One question, can one run bypass pipes with this setup, ie is it 'modular' (that's what I do at the track)?
TIA

Just a couple of comments. You guys are quite observant. The system is mostly 70mm piping but is made to attach to the OEM tip. It's pretty big actually. These systems have been used by Evolution Motorsports for years on their 996TT kits. And those kits make some big power. This 997TT system follow with the same architecture.
Upside-down 996TT. Well, I think you are on to something. The 997 and 996 are very similar with a clear exception. The exit point of the tips. The 996TT exits low and the 997TT exits high. So I would say you see it correctly. -Pete

We have been using 100-cell cats in the 996TT for three years in the USA. Same recipe for the 997TT. Proximity of the cat to the turbo is what makes it successful I believe. We want to minimize any possible restriction. It's been working superbly in the 996TT and GT2. -Pete
