Aerokit for 997 Turbo?

Well, the Porsche bug has bitten me again. I had a CL63 on order, but I have decided to cancel that and order a new 997 Turbo in White. So far, the options I have chosen are:

White on Black
Sport Seats
Sport Chrono
Red Deviating stitching everywhere possible
Red Belts
Tiptronic
Painted rocker panels and front lip
Carbon Steering wheel, Shifter, and e-brake
Sport Shifter

My question is, do you guys think Porsche will release an Aerokit for the car soon? I LOVED the Aerokit on both my previous 996 Turbos, but if memory serves me right, I dont think Porsche offered the Aerokit until 2003, which was 2 years after the introduction of the 996 Turbo.

I would prefer to wait for the Aerokit, but if its not for another 2 years, I might as well order the TechArt kit, which looks absolutely phenomenal as well.

Thumbs up Excellent choice!

That 997 turbo looks best in white especially with the stock rims, best looking white car ever imho of course. I know my bias is hard to detect right, Enjoy in good health.
.........choice for plate maybe; u nv me no; (w/o spaces)
......... I HATE YOU ! in a nice way tho
porsche like all other when they see demand they will supply..

That's an awesome combination I would do Yellow vs Red if you decide to go with PCCBs.

Maybe I'll do that

Right choice!!!!

Congrats to the choice . I think you will love the car. The 997tt looks better, is faster and swetter than a CL63AMG and it is a sportcar. What is with the GT3 front?

Dont forget to get CDZ Gear shift trim in leather! Get option 09991 for deviated stitching on exclusive items too.

I don't recall the 996TT ever having an aero kit. Did they? Thought the only difference was when the GT2 came out with a different front end and rear wings.

In 2003, Porsche offered an Aerokit option which consisted of a different front lip and a fixed 'whale-tail'-esque rear spoiler. I'm trying to attach a pic, but I keep getting an error message. I will post the pic in a little while.

yeah - aerokit loooks 10x better than stock on 996 IMO (biased of course)
I think they will release it when they have the PDK so early next fall for MY08 cars

Congratulations Ryan! I think you are making a great decision on both the car and the colour combination. Cannot wait to see the new ride.

TC,

Thanks man! I was never really a fan of white, but seeing Deetz's car all the time changed my mind pretty easily!

My 996TT was an '02 and it had a factory installed AeroKit. They may offer one for the 997TT in '08... I'm sure Porsche wants to offer a new $8K option asap - hehe. For what it's worth, I thought the 996TT AeroKit was a little lacking for $7,500. The front clip should have been an entirely new one piece unit, not just a new lower lip. The rear spoiler was well done, though.

If you get the stunning TA kit, then you'll have to also change your avatar name. The white TA 997TT is my favorite!
