Thinking of 997T for daily driver BUT concerned re: attention from Officer Law

I understand that cops know what Porsches are - but does that really translate into being pulled over or targeted more often? ( FWIW, I notice a lot of ricers being pulled over but that may have more to do with their antics than their cars).

Why are you wasting our time here with your BS claims of car ownership. One would think this humiliating beating you took on F-chat would have cured of the BS.
Such that you had to register fictitious users to defend you!
Why don't you just drive your CGT to work every day?

Antics up to a point

I remember an accident I had in my vette...a "sedan" pulled out in front of me from a gas station. Right away, you have a vette, you must have been going over the speedlimit, it has to be the vette driver's fault. With my vette, the coppers would even tell me the vettes, big tires- mustangs, etc. are being targeted.
With Porsches, however, these cars cannot be bad-boy-racer cars, they are just too expensive, so there is a possibility of a bit more understanding when stopped. However, for fearless fast/furious driving, best to have something stealth/nonnondescript like an M3 or maybe even a Merc.
The important point is that all cars look the same to a radar/laser gun, but radar is not the only threat, and if you are stopped, the type of vechicle you drive and what it says about your driving style can be of decisive importance.

Anyone notice that some of the craziest drivers are in minivans & SUVs during the morning rush when the kids have to be dropped off at school.
With radar/laser, at least you have some cloak of anonymity due to distance. But with undercovers cruising around and choosing who they want to pace or keep an eye on, the faster/nicer car is always presumed to be more likely to speed.
Anyway, I don't think anyone should be overly concerned. Just go out and drive!

Staying "overly concerned" is mandatory for me anyway if I'm to enjoy the full potential of my extremely powerful-tt. Without constant focus/concern, a strong possibility exists towards expensive tickets, loads of wasted time being stopped, possible embarrassment, loss of license and exorbitant insurance rates...could even be a no-brainer for certain drivers.

Even if he's a troll the topic is good. I know plenty of cops and the story is the same: it's the way you drive more than anything that will get you pulled over, i.e. too agressive. If you are doing 90 or 100 by yourself then that will warrant some attention but as part of moving traffic they will rarely single you out b/c it's a Porsche.
I was followed for 30 minutes by 3 TX troopers in a black unmarked tinted malibu the other day. Almost no traffic on the road, I was driving brisk but respectfully (signals, no abrupt lane changes, i.e. smooth). They had passed me at one point, and I then passed them and took my exit. They pulled me over then to shoot the chit and check out the car. Got a friendly warning for failure to control speed, very pleasant athogether.
My case rests

FYI, I have had a 996TT, and currently own both an F430 Spider and F430 Coupe (I get "it" for those cars but don't drive them each day of the week for 16k miles a year) but want real world experience and thoughts.
TIA
