Specs on the car gathered from the material handed out, as well as in conversation with Alois and others at the event, are largely in-line with what has been leaked prior:

3.8 liter engine from RT12, now rated at 700HP;
SIX (not seven) speed sequential tranny;
top speed of 375kmh (as opposed to 360kmh earlier);
ceramic brakes;
front wheels are 19", rears in 20" forged aluminum alloy;
tires in rear are 335/30/19;
body panels in composite or aluminum;
weight at 1,380kg

first cars to roll off the production line by end of 2007...

Hesperus, why the clutch if it is a sequential transmission?

it isn't an F1/SMG/DSG type of tranny. Its basically a conventional manual transmission with synchromesh, but in a sequential lay-out like a motorcycle. So from what I was told, you still need to clutch in to engage a gear, downshift, etc.

When I sat in the car, I was fiddling with the gear lever (as most people were) and it definitely can only be pushed fore and aft. No lateral movement or any kind of traditional gate.

So I guess its a bit of a compromise between a full traditional manual, and the F1/DSG type paddleshifts.

Sounds good. I'm glad you cleared that up...let us know if you have any more information on this car! I can't wait to see a video!

I love the design, but would like to see a straight on side photo if one is lying around. I figure the US cost will be around $350-400K. If I ever had that kind of money to spend on a car, I'd likely get a Carrera GT, but this would be a close second.

Was posted previously...

I'm really starting to like this car...although I'm not the biggest fan of the rims, and the front view...the side and rear are amazing however.

No problem. I just didn't want to take credit for it, ya know.

You guys do realize this thing would run circles around a CGT, don't you?

That said, the styling is a little risky and definitely not meant for the mainstream. I figure it to be more of a track car than a street car.

Any word on when the 'Ring times will be available?

The longer shifter is pretty standard for sequential boxes.

I was a little reserved in my opinion looking at the first pictures as the lines were hard to define. But the latest pics show the lines clearly and I like it.

As for running rings around a CGT, I'm sure it will but will wait for some Nurburgring figures before passing judgment.

LOL, yeah far from running circles around a CGT. I'd get a CGT anyday over a glorified Cayman.

Mis-use maybe.

Just making the point that it would be quicker on a track.
