When I sat in the car, I was fiddling with the gear lever (as most people were) and it definitely can only be pushed fore and aft. No lateral movement or any kind of traditional gate.
So I guess its a bit of a compromise between a full traditional manual, and the F1/DSG type paddleshifts.

I love the design, but would like to see a straight on side photo if one is lying around. I figure the US cost will be around $350-400K. If I ever had that kind of money to spend on a car, I'd likely get a Carrera GT, but this would be a close second.
You guys do realize this thing would run circles around a CGT, don't you?
That said, the styling is a little risky and definitely not meant for the mainstream. I figure it to be more of a track car than a street car.
Any word on when the 'Ring times will be available?
The longer shifter is pretty standard for sequential boxes.

I was a little reserved in my opinion looking at the first pictures as the lines were hard to define. But the latest pics show the lines clearly and I like it.
As for running rings around a CGT, I'm sure it will but will wait for some Nurburgring figures before passing judgment.
