Hesperus, good to meet you and Erik finally!

The pictures don't really show how well proportioned this car is. In real life, it's much better looking than any picture that I've seen of it, and I did see some pictures before it was launched.

Clearly, the CTR3 is not intended for everyone. It wasn't made to appeal to all tastes. For the select few how will go for it, they will have something quite special indeed.

Comparisions with the CGT are inevitable. Which to go for is entirely up to the indiviual in quistion. It remains to be seen how good the CTR3 will be on the road and on the track.

I was thinking the same thing. But I admit that I wanted to see it based on the 911.

I think it looks pretty nice in the pics. It might (hopefully) look better in real life. It does remind me of the 959.

And, if it did not have a Ruf badge on it, none of you would either.

Leons car is a "650" engine, with 704bhp.

This will be a "700" engine, with .....(?)

This will be in a different league in terms of performance from the CGT.

best,
adam

That's a hell of a hardtop they put on that Boxster. Holy moly WTF?!

I hope its in Gran Turismo for the PS3 at least. Then I'll buy a PS3 and save $299,400.

Well it has already been in PGR3 for xbox360. One of the best handling cars in the game. They call it ruf Supercar.

Great to see it finially hitting the street soon. Cant wait to see some real track numbers on this beauty.

I think this was ruf's way of building their own super car, seeing that if they started with a CGT it would not have been cost effective. ruf may not have meant the car to be based on the Caymen, but it prolly ended up looking like one because Porsche's design for the Caymen is perfect and VERY functional.

Yes I agree it should have been badged something dif than CTR3. But I still like it.

The guys in the middle east are going to eat this thing up for sure. Why else do you think ruf debuted it there. Alois could always paint one white, dub it as CTR3 SE, mark it up a couple million and they will jump all over it.

Thats not correct. The "RUF Supercar" in PGR3 is only the "Prototype 2" of the upcoming RUF R50.

No, we will built our first independent car. Own chassis, own engine. But that's all I'm allowed to say. Specs are strictly confidential! It will beat everything. Forget the CGT...
