Steering wheel issues, want to change

Can you change a multifunction wheel to the round sport wheel?

Thanks

nope..........unless you want wires that connect to the buttons on the multi spoke tapped off and hanging dormant behind the new wheel and airbag!

Just curious, what sort of issues? The sport wheel only comes in different thicknesses, none come with mulifunction options unless you opt for the triangle style wheel. The other option would be to go with TechArt aftermarket but like DJ said it might not be possible? They would have to be terminated somewhere and the software would have to be re-coded to recognize the change? I'm just guessing, anyone else with some electrical background want to chime in here?

DJ, are you sure? I seem to recall reading somewhere that you could go either way as long as you got things recoded by the dealership.

I have a TT cab coming that has the mf wheel, and can't be changed because it is a launch car. I prefer the thick sport wheel, and was thinking of taking it off another car I own and putting it on the TT.

I may have to go Techart.

Man those folks at PAG have GOT to get us a better thicker sport wheel. I STILL hate the circle. Stitched leather triangle, beefier wheel, nice looks, like the thicker 3-spoke 996....if they can head in that direction this will no longer be such an eyesore.
