LS7 Thunder is infamous around these parts
Do you agree with this assessment?

I've never driven a 911 Porsche, of any variant. Sat in quite a few. My impression of the driving experience, from being in the passenger seat, and from what the owners tell me, is very good. And 911s are known to be a driver's car. I was kinda surprised reading his comment.

I feel him on the 997TT it is not connected to the road I owned one and while the Cayman is fun and sporty the engine even on the "S" lacks real power..Let him drive GT2/3 or a CGT this is what a Porsche was always meant to be and what cars like the 993 idealized..connection to the road
raw feeling and no nonsense.

PS nice Z06

I think the more non-P owners drive them the more they like them, I agree that the hardcore 930/993 feeling is no longer there (except for GT2/GT3), but everything evolves, so does the P-car, and you can still get the GT2/3.

I do agree that if Porsche would put more HP in the Cayman it would compete directly with the 911

As for the sound, I think most around here agree, that is one thing that needs to be changed for the better

Just my 0.02

You can never convince a F car guy that a porsche is better. The fact that a 997TT is a superior car to the F430 sticks in their craw.

C4S agree completely, not even looking at the price and maintenance cost

Never driven a Porsche nor a Ferrari but my opinion is that people buy porsches to be driven and perhaps not noticed by the public where-as ferrari owners want to be noticed.

I wouldn't take that F-chat post seriously as we don't know where this guy is coming from... yet putting the cars side by side for 350 miles (like I did) can give you a better idea... The 997TT for far less $$$ gives you more speed, more driveability, more utility yet the Ferrari brings an exotic feel, tremendous engine sounds and is a serious babe/attention magnet... if I could afford both, I buy both, I could only afford one I take the 997TT and pocket the big change to visit Todd and get some headers, exhaust, wheels... ohh no, I have already done that...

then I would head out and get me a nice babe... done that too...

mmmhhh... I guess the only thing left is to go get that Ferrari money...

Frissen, very well said. Now you need to get your hands on some of that F car money fast and take a BETTER picture of the lady, just like the ones of the cars. I say this so as we are fair to the female sex and that way you cannot be labeled as a car over cute girl photo law suit.
