Modification Issues

Hi guys, i have installed the fabspeed maxflo exhaust + racing cats along with EVOMS headers 3 days ago, from the moment i drove the car with all these mods on, i have noticed an excessive heating issue, before installing the exhaust setup, i raced a friend he also has a 997 turbo and we raced like 5-6 times in a row with sport mode on etc, the engine heat level sat exactely on 90 after those 5-6 runs, now i just drive from my house to my friend's which is like 3-4kms and its above 90... is this normal or is there something wrong??

One more thing, in my previous M5's the E39 and E60, after installing after market exhausts i feel the power right away, for some reason i dont feel that much of a diff in the turbo, does it take time? or is this it?

did you have software put on after new mods, or before.

If before, like Msindi said, you need to remap.

GL.

disconnect the battery for 30 min or so and restart. That should clear out some of the fuel trim adaptation

This is not enough data to tell me anything. What EXACT numbers are you seeing. Log it with a data logger so we know. Engine oil temp, engine collant temp is not an issue unless in the red! The EGTs will drop 120 Degree C with what you have. That is better than factory. Many factors can cause engine oil temp and collant temp to go up. It is not a worry unless it is near the red marks which indicates an issue of some sort. That does not seme to be the case here. Enjoy the car!

The ecu map is the culprit, as Stephen said, you need more info and if anything should be running cooler.

It's supposed to be hovering around the 90's when normal. When it passes 120 and stays there is when you should be worrying.
