Home Sweet Home
Just came back from Sonoma today after visiting my brother in law so I couldn't resist stopping at Infinion Park (a raceway) to dump a few gallons of 100 octane (8 total) mixing it with Californias crappy 91. Boy, was I in for a nice treat. The car was definately more chrisp and much smoother/responsive. After a brief time the computer adjusted and I was all smiles. Don't try it or you will get hooked, especially if your from California and don't have access to 93 - 94 grade. Actually its $6.50 per gallon compared to $3.95 for 91. Anything more than 94 would be a waste but I think 7 - 8 gallons of 100 get the octane to the proper level. These cars were designed to run on 93 -94 not 91! One thing I find comparing the Turbo to the 997 S is the turbo is so easy to drive fast. Too easy, and I have had to many close calls with the highway patrol not realizing how fast I was going. This holiday weekend was filled with CHP + traffic so safe opportunities were rare. Here is a photo my girlfriend took visiting her brothers house. Again congrats to Don and Chris for posting their beautiful rides. Now I wait for the other Chris (E55 AMG) to end his long and frustrating wait....Soon buddy...soon!

Hey Don
Congrats on your ride, enjoy it !!
Alligator Alley is great, but watch it they do have speed checks (sometimes) and you have nowhere to go if they catch you, they can just wait at the end of the Alley, so be cautious, if you really want to floor it.
Again enjoy your new ride

Thanks Greydex and Mike..
Thank G-D we have 93 octane here in FL and dont have those worries.
I bought a Fl map and there has to be some windy country roads somewhere in this huge state!!
I am from VA and we have the best roads IMO on the east coast,, with the mountains and the back windy country roads.
I am sure FL,,, somewhere,, has like roads and I will ferret them out.
If anyone has any suggestions,,, or ,, would like to join me on an all day adventure that would be great.
Nice pic of your car Greydex,, I think Silver is very classic and definitely not as flamboyant as red so it kind of fits into the crowd,, esp with LE looking to make money.
I have a Mem day picnic today in Satellite Beach at a friends house,,, but ,, I will have to park on the street (driveway will be full with owners cars) and kids play ball (cul de sac),,,, all I need is a hard ball smacking the turbo in a fender or anywhere SO,,, the Matrix will go.
Cant stop our kids from having fun tho and I understand..
Have a great holiday Monday!
