I'm familiar with the leather dome light trim, but what exactly is the door sill trim? Anyone have a picture?

Door sill trim is the part after the aluminuium door entry (used to be the memory seat button area on driver/umbrella cubby on passanger in 996TT) - you can have leather replace cheapt plastic...I would also add leather fuse box cover although I did not see it in any 997TT order guides (only 996TT - wierd)

I forgot to mention the Multifunction steering wheel.

The white face gauges for tach etc. look nice BUT like someone previously stated I don't have anyting white in the car. It kind of goes well with the standard alum. look surround on the gauges since it blends in well with alum color. This option was up in the air and I guess i never really changed it.

Porshce crest in headrest i didn't care for. Heated seats i thought about for resale value only. Illuminated doorsills look cool but that's just another thing that can break and cause flickering/burnout in the future.

Painted rocker panels and front chin was also a thought but the few I asked told me its a waste on a dark color car like atlas.

What is the general consensus on atlas grey?

Nice choices - I agree with the White Gauges though. Doesn't tie in with the car color/options. Alum is nice.

I just signed off on the spec sheet for my June 27th Build - Hope to get it end of July - Start of Aug.

07 Model Year

Carrera White/White Top
Black/Full Leather/ No Crest(hardly see it)
Sports Chrono
Heat Front Seats
Floor Mats(in a 100K+ car - no mats standard?)
3-Spoke Str. Wheel(multifunction) leather + Thicker Steering Wheel
Seat Belts Silver ( love the contrast ) - will go with Silver Wheels I get
Foor Rest Alum ( I gave in )
Adaptive Sport Seats
Axle Diff Lock Rear
Rocker/Rear/Front - Panels painted to match
Storage Compartment Leather(logo) - to tie in the stitching from the leather console.
Door Guards Entry Illuminated ( I gave in on this one too )

The other leather pieces didn't excite me enough to get them.

I see that some people have the Multifnxn steering wheel AND thicker steering wheel.....is this even possible? I just ordered Multifnxn on the order form but I didn't see thicker and multifnxn....

Does multifunction also mean thicker as well?

Codes I have are:

431 - 3 - Spoke Leather Multifunction Steering Wheel - $250.00
CPA - Thicker Leather Wheel - $930.00

It is on my build sheet.

I am coming from an M3 and M5 and I like the thicker wheels. I didn't like the 3 spoke Multifunction Leather wheel at all and when I found out that I could add Multifunction with Thicker I was all over it.

My dealer is convinced that it's a conflict option. I just called and they are investigating the request. He said there are MANY requests for both but its not possible.

I hope it is but it looks bleek. Make sure they aren't charging you for something you can't get.

According to the order guide it is a conflict, I did not go for it and I will buy the Tech Art Steering Wheel when my ride arrives

thanks.

TurboRX, I would check with Alex (Sharkwerks), they sell TechArt, and I understood from this thread (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=79876

That you can exchange your MF OEM steering wheel core with the Tech Art
But to be sure contact Alex at Sharkwerks (see thread below)

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...poster&t=84779

I do not need the MF so I hope this helps

TurboRx,

You might want to talk to your dealer again. There IS an option for THICKER MF Steering Wheel as Alpine997 has posted above (431 and CPA). I have seen pictures of this wheel so your dealer is missing something.

In case you don't already know:

Multi-Function Wheel: Come in both thin (431) and thick (431 and CPA) version. No thumb rest, slightly larger diameter than the Sport Wheel.

Sport Wheel (standard Turbo wheel): Come in both thin (standard) and thick (option XPA) version. Lacking multi-function buttons but some of us opt for this over the MF because it has the important thumb rests and is smaller in diameter. **For me** (YMMV), the MF buttons don't add much convenience.

TechArt Wheel: Beautifully made and could replace either of the steering wheels above, but keep in mind that it is very much thicker than either of the above 2 OEM wheels. Too thick for my taste and my (probably) smaller than average hands, for example. And costs about 1500. You might want to see it in person (if possible) before ordering.

Good info guys....I will add the CPA option to my current multifunction option.

I'm sure I will have some resistance from the dealer on this one as they are "POSITIVE" it can't be done.

thanks again
