Unexplainable Delay

My car is still at the factory 6 weeks after production was completed with no reasonable explanation, what would you do?

My car completed production on Friday, April13th, It was listed as "in upholstery" until the 15th of May, since then it is listed as completed but thats it, not on the boat, nothing else. It has no special interior options other than the fat steering wheel and supple leather.

I have asked my dealer for an E-mail or note from Porsche explaining the situation. The dealer claims that if anything major would have happened requiring rework they would have been notified, so not to worry.....

My dealer is not at fault here and seems genuinely concerned, but it appears there is little they can do. Although their allocation is on the order of 6 per month so I would think that gives them some level of clout.

I'm at the point of outright canceling the transaction, the 07 model year is ending and I'm not comfortable with an order hanging out there with no end date. I would rather have an 08, but may not get a slot for 4-6 months or more.

Frustrated
