Best Launch Practice
Best Launch Practice
tomorrow its time for the long awaited race.
997 turbo vs F430....
what is the best launching technique i should use to get the best run from standstill in order to come back tomorrow with a glorious report instead of tales of defeat...
my car is a tiptronic.
we will do several runs. from standstill and rolling starts.
come on everybody...lets make this our day..
videos will be posted !

put the tranny in neutral
rev to redline, then put it in D
just kidding
put one foot on the gas, floored, one on the brakes
once the car is revving, i think it will rev to around 2800 rpm, release the brakes and keep your foot on the gas
make sure traction control is off
since youre racing a ferrari f430
to make the race a little more fair, would you midn if my imaginary sister drove your car ?
i think my a4 1.8t will beat a ferrari
God, i hate ferrari's

***Be Careful***
Don't forget. If you hold the gas and the brake at the same time for an extended period, the throttle body will close causing a sudden loss in power.
(drive around in a parking lot somewhere and try it. drive around and hold the gas steady, then lightly apply and hold the brakes. the car will fall on it's face.)
My advice would be to hold the brake without giving it any gas. Once you get the go signal, put your foot through the floor.
