1st Post - Considering 997TT Purchase
I'd also keep in mind whether you have the mod bug...that's why I'm waiting on my 997TT, I want to be able to have a good $20-30K on top of the purchase price to buy rims, chip, exhaust, suspension, etc.
You better be able to get more then that for 20-30 or else your going to the wrong people. It is a good point though to have some extra on the side because at the very least you have to address those nasty looking stock wheels.

How about you sell the SLK and get a 997s? The 997 S will be just as fast and be more fun to drive. It also looks a lot better. 997tt might be out of your range right now. I would rather have the biggest house on my block and an slk then the smallest house and a 997 tt. To each his own though. Good luck with your decision.
Start saving, sell you MB on your own for top dollar (patience), after its sold look for a used 997 TT optioned out with only must have options. You want a standard color, LSD, sport chrono, heated seats, adaptive seats, and a sport shifter. Pass on anything else and keep the car stock (no mods). Nevermind, this sounds really boring.
