Intercoolers thread

Folks,
I am investigating intercooler options for my Turbo, and am interested in data on the options.

Useful information: pressure drop @ 17 PSI at ~500 CFM (per intercooler); intake vs outlet temps compared to ambient air temp at this flow rate; etc.

More realistically: has anyone measured stock or modified IATs after a few seconds of full-throttle acceleration?

I had the EVO Stage III Kit (no I/C) fitted by Sharky a few months ago. On the track on warm days, I was noticing a slight bu noticable fall off in power at the end of long straights.

Because I share the same sickness that you guys all do, I convinced myself that I needed the Club Sport I/C to get to the full Stage IV 690R kit. Sharky was happy to oblige.

I've only done one track day with the new setup, but I no longer get as much power fall-off on the long straights. Perhaps placebo effect but car seems to pull a bit better in general.

This was subtle stuff that did not show up in better lap times.
