$500k huh? Pocket change...

...Yeah right, I would never pick that up for $500k, I much rather pick up a 997TT mod it to the gills and then keep the rest.

Ugly - For 500,000 I could have a GT2, a GT3, AND a TT.

Beyond Godzilla!!!!!

The CTR3 shown is probably a fully tooled protype model. I had the pleasure of reviewing the concept drawings over a lengthy lunch with Mr.Ruf in '04. To me,that car is 100% supreme Ruf team effort. Mid-engine,balanced,powerful with great aero...what am I missing?

Cheers

Roland

P.S.

I would feel very confident the machine could set the open road race bar so high!

GT2: $200,000+
GT3: $120,000+
TT: $140,000+
TT Mods: $40,000

$40K in mods for a TT could be a lot of fun! Or how about this, buy a CGT and twin turbo it!!!!

I really like the Exhaust treatment though, got any sound clips?

Doesn't look like something RUF would release. Looks more Gemballaish to me.. I don't like it at all, and if it's 500K they can keep it for sure!!!

I completely agree! What's going on in this world?! that looks Gemballish and the Gemballa CGT Coupe concept car looks more like it belongs to Ruf (minus the gullwing style doors) since they're cars are always similar to the cars they're based on. The CTR looks almost cartoonish. Did they switch designers? Is this like that Bazaro episode of Seinfeld? The Mirage was SUPPOSED to be as pictured, oh yeah and it was also supposed to be twin turbo'd and have over 1000+ HP, didn't happen, but I still like the idea of a CGT Coupe and this rendering. I don't like the rear window treatment and thought it'd be better with a more traditional rear windshield, but I guess I'd have sacrificed it to be able to feed those twin turbos

I think my problem is the 6 slats on the rear, but I did read that was only for the prototype and the production model will have glass which will clean up some of the "out of space" look and will look alot better.

The issue I think will be that to many uninitiated, the car looks too much like a cayman with a body kit. Might not be exclusive enough for the half a million dollar customer who is looking not only for go but also for show.
