Topspeed 997TT Tiptronic

Hi,

back from the autobahn i experienced, that topspeed is limited to 322 kph (digi speed) by electronic, about 200-300 from rev limiter away .

Does all 997TT, especially manual cars, behave like this?

I hate beeing limited by any other than revs or drag;-)

Attached some images from my car, which has to do the work

Yes, autobahn seems to be what these cars are really really made for (beside track).

On a free autobahn you can feel the power and torque of the engine, feel the noticable difference when the arrow comes up (overboost).

Everywhere else you have no time to enjoy it, because you are just within second much to fast.

Engine gets free, cool air, no comparison when you full throttle after you stuck in a traffic jam.

You can really feel how the car likes to be pushed hard for a while - my popo dyno tells me, that the difference between the power after one hour autobahn compared to the power of severals days stuck in the city is bigger than the overboost additional power.

You can see it, too - the inside colour of your tips will be transferred from black to a very light grey - i love that

And to end the endless discussion M5/M6 stock versus 997TT stock - it´s quite a joke, because after a few seconds the M6 reaches the 250kph limiter, when your Tiptronic still has the 5th gear left

Surely 322 km/h is quick enough, why would you need to go much faster then that?
The fastest ive been in a car is 270km/h and that was more then quick enough for me!

The Porsches are different story. They get to 300km/h so easily and you want more and more. 322km/h is a good number, though. The quickest I can do with my 996TT is 317km/h, at this speed the software cut the power because the revs are in the red section (my TT is manual).
