congrats and it does look better than the 911 and sounds much better. I have not driven one yet but saw one in the service drive. Its a little to small for me and im trying to swallow paying 130k for a audi that does not keep up to a Turbo and barely up to a C2s :/

Sorry about your bad luck. However your R8 looks fantastic! Congrats and enjoy.

BTW, you are still part of the Porsche/VW/Audi family.

Very nice car these Audi's are...but, your statement about being a genuine Porsche enthusiast can not be a true statement if you will never buy another Porsche again. But then again....a large percentage of new model Porsche owners are not true Porsche nuts anyway. Good luck with the new ride...perhaps you might come back.

I saw one being delivered to a buyer in Houston on Friday. Exceptional interior. The exhaust note was also very surprising - better even than the AMV8. I think the car is competitive at $90-100k, but at $120k I can't like it.

Funny that it beats both on a track though. It is almost identical to the 997s with powerkit in performance terms but much slower than the turbo. But it handles better than both to be honest.I think the turbo is the more exciting car to drive but the audi makes you feel better driving it.There are pluses and minuses in both cars.

As for the guy who reckons I am not a porsche enthusiast...I have had 5 in the last few years..I had one 996 turbo which nearly killed my family..the engine caught on fire sat in my garage and yet I still went out and bought a 997s and then a 997tt after that the 997tt then spent 3 months of the first year off the road..I suffered truly awful customer service from Porsche and as much as I love the cars when I spend £105000 ($200000) on a car I expect some basic level of customer service not the **** I was treated to.I also have to mention how appalling Porsche were with me over the car that caught fire..
Many people could not believe I went and bought more Porsches after the fire incident so please do not question my love of the cars.MAybe I have been unlucky but out of 5 porsches 3 have had major issues ...that I could have handled but their lousy attitude towards me I could not.
