I did a search but did not find anything.

Dave, if you're trying to do your exhaust, it can be done with the bumper in place, mine was.(FS)

I am but, even though it is not required, I know it will be easier with it off.

If you doing it yourself, hell yes it will be a thousand times easier with the bumper off! Trust me I installed a Fabspeed Sport Cat system this weekend and jeezus it was a ***** with the bumper on.

That´s bad news.. Do you have the muffler bypass? How is it?

I wanted to buy the FS System and install it on my own, because our porsche dealer will throw me out of his garage when i want him to install a bypass

official porsche time is 2,6 hours to change exhaust -> around 300 euros or 430 US$.... (with bumper off)

the FS system can be installed in about 3 hours without removing the bumper. lining up the tips will take another hour or so of fiddling.

if you really want to remove the bumper, here's the instructions for a 996 which should be similar to the 997; refer to section 63.

I'm sure you're correct but Stephen at IA quotes 4 hours and removes the bumper for his FS installs.
