FVD-Brombacher’s flash load software is a user friendly Windows® based software application that provides the ability to read out and load programmed software directly thru the vehicles OBD II port. Programming is a simple, computer guided experience and requires hardly any user input. FVD-Brombacher supplies the customer with a USB cable which interfaces directly with the vehicles diagnostic port and our companion flash load software program. Read-out of the vehicles ECU takes place with the click of a button thru the vehicle-encrypted cable, which automatically creates and sends a file to a secure server at FVD-Brombacher Headquarters in Germany. Our software programmers then extract the file’s data, tune the software, then modify the program to suit the customer’s individual needs. Customers are able to express individual tuning requirements in a text field at the end of original file read-out before the program is sent to Germany. Here, the customer can input performance upgrades already installed on the vehicle and our programmers can adapt software tuning to extract maximum performance gains out of existing vehicle modifications.

Whether your vehicle is heavily modified or completely stock, FVD-Brombacher will custom tune our programming to suit individual requirements. While we are able to modify a program based on individual needs, FVD-Brombacher tunes Porsche ECU’s with the following modifications in mind:

-Increasing throttle response
-Modifying Ignition Timing
-Optimizing Air and fuel ratios
-Removal of the top speed limiter
-Increasing the rev limiter
-Modification of boost mapping on turbo vehicles

All of FVD-Brombacher’s programming is proprietary, developed in house by FVD, for FVD, our partners and you, our customers. After modifications are made to the software, the file is then sent back via email directly to the customer who can then load the program back into the vehicle. The read-out of the original software and loading of the new program takes only minutes and the entire flash load process from start to finish takes under an hour. Customers also have the ability to flash their ECU back to stock anytime using the same cable and software, as the customer is also sent their original, unmodified program file. Does the price include the software? I believe it does, i was interested on the cable and laptop software to individually tune my already modded ECU to perfection.

This is the cable where we can tailor make a map on the ECU, change timing and have two different maps, one for pump and another for racing fuel.

This price includes FVD software and the Durametric single user diagnostic tool.

FVD Germany will send you a custom tuned file for the modifications that you have on your car. Our software automatically advance's the timing and retards the knock sensor's in a range of 93 Octane to 100 Octane. No need to change maps or use a seperate OBDII toggle switch.

GREAT Price!!! Gives some competition to Softtronic! Does your Flash have a 2-step parameter? and Brake Boosting? Two things the Softtronic does not offer.

 

How long is the usual turn around for the tuning file to be completed and sent back? And is there a way to save the stock file to load back if needed?

 

How many levels of tuning do you offer via software only??

By 2 step parameter do you mean for sport chrono cars? Our software resides in normal and chrono modes seperately. In other words when you are in "normal" non-sport chrono mode our you have one version of our software and in sport chrono you have an all out version of our software.

As far as brake boosting is concerned I will check for you....

If you read out the file before 3 pm Eastern Standard time FVD Germany will send it back within an hour or so.

If you read it out after 3 pm E.S.T. FVD Germany will email it to you by the next morning.

With our software you tell us what hardware you have on the car so that we can extract as much power out for you as possible. We don't charge you more for the hardware modifications like some tuner's if that is what you are asking. The power will be different for all brand's of exhaust, intercooler's, etc.
