No, you can not.
But why would you want to ?

It's too sensitive to use in traffic , and on the track.
It does not make the car any faster ,and I have no trouble pushing the gas pedal.

In my opinion, it's one of the most useless options they have.... by far .
And the alarm clock on the dash is TOTALLY useless .

And if you have the PSE , it's even more dumb.
(you have to turn on the Sport Chrono to activate the PSE)

I finally wound up installing a bypass switch to turn the PSE
on-off without having to activate the stupid thing .

Just my opinion, I'm sure others will disagree .Lol

Sports chrono plus is a must for tipronic cars as it greatly enhances the shift program

Sports chrono plus also gives you acess to other programming functions for features of the car.

Sports chrono on the turbo is also another must for the extra boost function

Sports chrono looks awesome lit up at night...get's lots of compliments.

I enjoy the increased throttle response and once you get used to it (meaning using soprt mode every day for months straight) the throttle response feels lame without it.

I don't like the fact sport mode also activates the suspension automatically.

Is it really woth the money? Are any of these option REALLY worth what they charge us for them??? Nah

Mine's currently stopped at 09:11

What other programming features can you access?

You can change how long the headlights stay on after you shut off the car,
and a couple of other things along those lines.

+1, sport chrono is a must IMO. I didn't use it at all during the 1st year I had my 997S but once I started using it, I had it on all the time. Drive with it on for a few days and then go back to without. The car will feel like you are driving around with the parking brake on.

So can we assume, therefore, that not having it would take a 'bite" out of your driving?

Add my vote to "almost entirely useless." I have SC and there's no way I'd ever buy it again.

Agree that it's worthwhile in a tip or in a turbo, but for a n/a manual transmission car it's 99% gimmick and 1% utility.

Love it or hate it thing I guess. I didn't use it at all for a year and thought it was useless too. I took my car in for a slight hesitation with hard launches and the tech told me the ECU learned my driving style so I should retrain it and use sport chrono all the time for awhile. I got used to it and it felt like a different car with SC off. Moot point anyways I guess, the car has gone to the salvage yard in the sky.

The car is more responsive in general, pushing the SC button is like throwing 2 passengers out of the car.

I thought one of the things sport chrono helped with was heel and toe shifting. That added responsiveness should allow you to blip the throttle with less effort....at least that's how it was on my old M3.

Except it isn't. Shedding the weight of two passengers will make the car faster. Sport chrono does not make the car faster.

i thought sports chrono is a great option. it costs less than the alum brake/shift, or even center console painted exterior color. yet, it adds some fun to the car when you choose to.

Sport Chrono is like an amp that goes to eleven.
