997s Cab busted gearbox......

997s Cab busted gearbox......
I Have a mate here in oz with an 05 997s cab, 18000kms on the clock and 1st gear developed a clicking...and with in 30kms was busted unable to select it, un able to drive it in any gear.

Is this a common problem? i have an 06 997s with half the kilometers, must admit i'm a little worried

I guess Porsche will have to replace it
(serves them right ,for using cheap Japanese crap ) Lol
