Yeah. And you know what, if the American stuff Clarkson says doesn't do it for you (I think he's right if you read a society by their cars... PUSHRODS???) then also know that he thinks all of us 911 drivers are *****.

You're missing the point. They take the **** out of everyone including themselves and lets be honest, he couldve said far worse.

Remember, he owns a Ford GT despite him preferring British and Italian Cars

Sorry but I found that episode F*** funny.. I live in the south and the only racing most here think is Nascar. We as Americans are mostly over weight and if you got to a hick town you, can you aspect **** like that if yo make fun of the hicks... Oh and we sue for everything on the earth too(they mad fun of that at the end of the show).. Sorry but it's the truth. I know they could have shown some positives but they want to make it entertaining to their own..

Top Gear is one of the best shows on TV in my opinion, Clarkson is a very smart and funny guy, his anti Americanism is very much for comic relief, and he does a good job of it. The episode when they goto the US was obviously a joke, of course they focused on the bad! You also need to remember that their audience is from the UK and really enjoy that type of humor, especially about the US.

I wouldn't take it so seriously, just enjoy

Even though I did not find it particularly interesting, I did laugh really hard at points. I found it really funny to see what the UK thought the south was like (esp. since I live there). Just like most Americans think Britains are pompous uptight tea drinkers, britains see us as simpletons who all loves us some Nascar. The way cultures view other cultures is ! I read this in anthropology and it has always made me laugh- http://www.msu.edu/~jdowell/miner.html

I am English & Clarkson is huge character over here. People either love him for his direct manner or hate him for his insensitivity. But as many of you guys have obviously understood he exagerates EVERYTHING to appeal to the biggest source of British humour & that being sarcasm. Our humour exists on taking the pi$$ out of anything & everything & sarcasm is best served by exageration.

Saying that Clarkson does hold very strong views on many subjects, but thats fine by me as we live in a free speech society.

The bottom line is that if you can see what he is saying from the viewpoint of British sarcasm then he is very funny, he exagerates everything to make it humourous to his main audience, that of the UK.
