RS Style Wing Needs

Hey guys. Any of you with the RS style wing (CG, Vorsteiner, etc) have a photo of it from the direct side? I'd like to see that. Especially if it's with the stock bumper. Can any of you please post?

Thanks much.

Jared

The oem porsche rs wing uses a smaller fan than the carrera. I am concerned that using the smaller rs fan may hurt the engine in the long term.

I believe the Vorsteiner one is the same height as the factory rs wing.

Besides it's function of decreasing lift, I'm also interested in hearing about any potential negative effect it may have on the engine and fan, etc.

I doubt there's any issues with that. I've been running my blown car for many miles without the fan even in there. Just an oversight. My engine temps have never gotten high. The ram air on the deck lid must take care of that. Dunno.

blakt out - After my track runs, I leave the engine hood closed, as I've been told the fans are far more effective in cooling down the engine than merely opening the hood. I assume you keep yours open after a track run?
Now I'm curious - I LOVE that RS wing - I'm going to ask my local Porsche shop this week about the effect on the engine.

the 997 Areo wing and the GT3 RS use the same fan. its not the fan it is the location of the intake. the GT3 and GT3 RS wing will not work on a C2 or C4 without changing the intake.

I leave it running with the hood open. Remember, mine's supercharged and I have a water cooling system just for the intake, via a radiator up front. May or may not matter here, but I think it does.

On that last comment I made, just look at my avatar. It's what's going on right here! How funny.
