Issues with Key

Hey guys,

Hoping I might be able to get some help here, before I have to contact dealer.

I parked my car in front of my friends house, went out, had keys in my pocket all night, when I came back the remote would not unlock the doors, or do anything for that matter. Non of the buttoms work, I though maybe the battery died, but the light on the key still flashes.

What could have caused this? Would having the button being depressed in my pocket for a long time maybe mess the program up on the key? Any advice on the matter is appreciated. (Im at work and havnt had a chance to look at the manual btw)

try locking the car with the mechanical key, then unlock it with the key, put it in the ignition and turn to position 2 (dont touch brake or push in clutch)- then press either the lock or the unlock button on the remote within 5 sec. turn it off and try it.
