just got my 08 tag ,$ 838.00 and I only get 1 plate

 

:P My GA tag for my 07 was $1600 I think.

 

Yeah I am DREADING getting mine next year. I paid $650 for my BMW MZ4 last year!

 

Mine was about $1,400 I think. '06 997S

 

My GA tag was $5 to transfer it from my old car to the 996..

 

I think I paid atleast $1200 for my plates on my 06. That time of the year is approaching quickly for me too... bummer.

 

It's not the tag that is expensive...it's the ad valorem tax that jacks up the cost.

 

An the ad valorem just makes no sense on a lease....

 

Could you register the car in another state?

 

I suppose if you could prove that you LIVED in that other state.

Same here, Iron Chef. You live up there in the Land of Ferraris and Lambos. Funny thing, I sat outside for lunch Sunday and saw at least 8 Ferraris and Lambos drive down Peachtree in Buckhead.

 

Buy a house in Detroit .. you could probably get one for 100$ these days.

 

Funny you say that - I live right near the Ferrari/Aston Martin of Atlanta dealership, and I work right up the road for the Porsche NA headquarters. So its definitely nothing new to see a nice car most days.

I followed a speed yellow 997 C2 convertible to work and a basalt 997 C2 home today.

 

Yeah, I'm starting to see Lambos on a regular basis up here in Alpharetta.
