Thumbs up Just got my softronic ECU flashed

Just got my ECU flashed from VividRacing and I couldn't be more happier.
Thanks Dan for the fast turn around. I placed an order Tuesday and had the cable the next day with the modified flash file. All done within 24 hrs. I drove the car to work today and response time is definately noticeable...especially in the lower gears. I get better results when I drive it manually. I'll let you guys know if and how much difference it makes when I get 95 octane put in next time.

Congrats on the purchase rah79! So how is it compared to when the sport button is ON?

This, of course, is the important question. I would suspect a change in the throttle mapping, and not a significant hp increase, with most/all ecu reflash.

The BHP goes from 355 to 389.

Thanks! I love the extra kick...it's not a huge difference but I definately feel little more jump. It can notice it in the mid range rpms. I usually always drive with the sports mode ON so I couldn't tell you the difference between it on and off but I will try it out with it OFF just for my fellow 6speeders and I'll let you know.

Man I enjoyed the drive from VA to NJ and back....so I drove in Sports mode ON and OFF. I would say the biggest difference is when taking off from stand still. Obviously better response time with it ON and also better feel. If I could I would always keep the sports mode ON....all 997s should have that.

I just did a Softronic reflash the other day on my 2006 C4S. I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but so far it feels great from the seat of pants dyno. Scott is extremely knowledgable and helpful. The process was very easy and quick. I will post again after playing with it a bit.

Got to drive 120 miles yesterday with Softronic reflash. Car is more responsive throughout the power band. Seems like it eliminated any hesitation. Overall it felt like it pulled everything together (enhanced the improvements from my techart exhaust). Gas mileage was 26.2 mpg, but I only wicked it up a few times. I have no idea how much real peak power it adds, but it does feel smoother and more torquey. I am very satisfied!
