Help!! Lost one of my keys...how much

is this going to cost me?? Any way to get this cheaper than the local dealer which quoted me some $250.00 for key and programming..YIKES

I think $250 is about the right number. You may want to try Suncoast to see if they discount. I suspect (though I don't know) that they can program it with your VIN (and tons of proof of ownership).

That's just for the programming, the actual key is probably in the $175 range though...

hey dave, there was one that sold on ebay for 10bucks, i missed it, wish i had a spare.
my original one was so banged up that i took it apart and repainted it...

There is a ebay seller named "remotehub". Best I say is contact him and ask him if he has any carrera remote fob/key for 997 or knows any place because it seems like he sells the 996 for around $80. They are uncut and you would have to get it cut and programmed

that is insane!!! I guess that is the last time I would use valet parking.

Bottomline you still have to get the key programmed and cut. Porsche can only do the programming part but you can get the key cut at an Audi dealer as well. I don't know if independent key shops can cut those keys.

I did the same lost one of my key pay $250 for the key, dealer charge me another $95 to program that damn key. I saw those key on ebay 996 key is different then 997 key guys.
