Fair Trade Value on an 07???

I'm looking to trade my silver 07 C2S in and I'd love to hear your opinion on what a fair value is. It's got 5k miles, mint cond, Navi, 6-speed, no chrono... Sticker was $90k...

LET ME HAVE IT...

07 c2s with navy, no chrono silver in mint cond will be 67-70k from a dealer.
but realisticly i think it's worth in the mid 70s to low 70s.

i know selling a car is painful. GL I am sure whatever you get next will make up for the rape.

Unfortunately, "fair" and "trade" aren't words you usually associate together - the dealer is going to get his profit either on the new car or the trade. You're better off trying private party. Check eBay and Auto Trader for comps. Good luck.

I've put it out at 10 dealers and two have gotten back to me today. One I hung up on. LOL I told them no BS, but he still pushed my buttons.

The first was 66k on the low ball...
The second was 58k on the DIAL TONE...

Kelley Blue book on a trade in is about 73k... I'd bite with anything near that.

Anyone else with similar experiences?

TIS

I've never had much luck with KBB numbers - dealers just don't pay attention to them or care. Keep trying - you'll get a range and then just fight as hard as you can for a discount on the new car. The best negotiating tools are your feet - I know it's hard to do with the P-car. Good luck.

You are gonna get Manhiem auction prices at best. Maybe someone here can let you know what they are going for there.

For what are you trading?

Why trade an 07? Not happy with it?

Why no Sports Chrono? That is a MUST option to have for all PORSCHEs.

Looking at the Manheim auction report, there have been 6 sales of 07 CarreraS coupes since November, 2007. Low price was $67.5K for a car with 7700 miles, sold at Riverside on 12/6/07. The high sale was a car with 40 miles on it for $83K at Manheim on 12/13/07. The rest of the sales are $71K, $74K, $76K and $78K. Only one sale at Manheim though, the rest at Riverside, except one in Dallas. Don't forget that whatever dealer took these cars to the auction was expecting to make some money, so the trade in price would presumably be a little less than the auction price. Good Luck. John

Thanks for all the replies...

I took the car from inventory and it was the only one with nav and the color I liked, but no chrono. To me the color and other options are must haves, the chrono isn't as important.

On a Private sale the price would be higher to make up for the tax break on a trade. I'd say around 80k would get the car.

The Auction info is very helpfull... Thank you.

T

You're kidding, right? Why pay for the wart when all you get is some programming features - most of which my service department will set for me for free?

I agree - maybe it's a "must" for the TT since it actuallly does something - on the other 997's it may be "nice to have" - depends on what you want.
