I know this has been covered in the past. I would appreciate it if someone would explain to this old man if the chrono has any function other then that of a stop watch when the sport package is activated.

As far as the chrono it's self it is just a timing device. However Porsche packages some other things in with the sport chrono feature that has to do with seat memory and other things in the PCM.

 

It's too bad Porsche did not make one of the options a analog clock. At least it would be doing something the other 99.9% of the time.
