Congrats beautiful car. I can totally understand your liking of light coming through the targa...I wish the sunroof in the coupe was glass instead of metal!

Hey, Yell03 did you get the car from Holbert? I remember sitting in a similar one about a month back. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone.

Yes the car was from Holberts.

The nice thing is, not only have I been welcomed here, but all my buddies on my Mustang website and my Corvette website are just as cool and they all love the Porsche.

Car Fanatics love all types of cars and eventually own all of them

I love red, but red rims would be a little too much for me.

Lovely car.

The power question is emotive one. We all seem to feel we need more when we are dreaming about our cars yet the practicalities of actually using the power is or living with it in the day to day world are completely different.

A friend has a 997 turbo which is fairly comparable to the Z06 in terms of speed, before he had c4s and I will be honest for me the c4s was enough.... With the turbo blip the throttle and you are in license loosing territory it ended up meaning you could never really enjoy it. Hell the 997 c2 I drove down to the south of France for a friend was plenty for me, although I guess you must get used to the pace.

Still the first house project is getting closer to reaching its conclusion and then roll on Porsche time

(although everyone keeps warning me that the completion is only going to signal the start of a whole new set of costs that will keep me away from my aim)

That is why the Z06 was such a waste on public roads, heck, the Porsche with 325hp gets going fast enough to get you in to trouble before you know it.
505hp was just insane.

Very nice targa!!! I am sure the Z06 will be missed, but you can't go wrong with the 997.
