Muffler / Exhaust Recommendations

Hey Guys,

New to the forum, just purchased my C2s a couple months back. Enjoying it thus far. I'm interested in getting an aftermarket exhaust or muffler just to get a louder growl to go along with my aerokit. I've been surfing the past few days and it looks as though Tubi is pretty popular. Any other recommendations and if possible price range estimates. Thanks.

bchow83,

AWE makes a great system, either complete headers, cat, mufflers or just the mufflers. Try to compare it the Tubi. The Shark Werks links to the right of the page will also provide you some videos with sound to get a better idea.

I've got Fabspeed and am very happy with it. If you do go with Fabspeed, be sure to tell them you want one of the ones made in the USA, with proper fitment, as I believe they've experimented with some pieces made elsewhere, and fitment was an issue.

For sound comparison, here's a clip of my car on YouTube:

Get the PSE .
It sounds better tham anything else out there, no resonance problems and you can turn it OFF , if you want it quiet .

PSE sound great but is heavy. I have Fabspeed with over 15,000 miles on it and 15 tracks and the Fabspeed is very tough. The tubi is expensive but sounds nice but is quiet compared to the PSE and Fabspeed mufflers.

The engine setup that I had on my previous 997S was comprised of the following :

the F77 airbox
ECU recalibration
Evo headers
Tubi exhaust
Sport Shifter

I loved the sound and the car drove much like Popeye after eating some spinach .

Taste and opinion will vary but I suggest driving a few cars and getting ideas .

+1

The PSE gives you OEM quality, fit, finish, warranty and the sound is great!

PSE is slightly heavier than stock because of the extra valves and bypass tubes, however the slight weight penalty is well worth having the ability to chose from normal and loud.

Good luck!
